Our therapy dogs regularly visit the Zürcher Lighthouse hospice for the dying to bring joy to the residents. The right words are hard to find. It is always touching how the dogs are a little ray of hope in the moment.
Laughing together, crying together, being together.
The dog is a wonderful bridge. We say thank you to our four-legged friends and we are grateful that we can visit the Zürcher Lighthouse together.
Care home "Sonnweid"
We are happy about great feedback from Sonnweid, the care home where our four- legged friends visit every Wednesday:
"Since we are a special home for exclusively people with dementia, the therapy dogs are an important offer for us. Especially in the oasis wards, the wards where the people are in the last dementia phase and mostly have no word language anymore, the dogs give many nice moments in a very calm and non-verbal way. A visit to Pflege- und Betreuungszentrum Sonnhalde - April 2025
“The dogs are finally here!” - was the joyful welcome our ten therapy dogs received from the residents of Sonnhalde.
From small miniature poodles to large Great Dane mongrels - all the dogs were greeted with joy, stroked and marveled at. The encounters brought numerous smiles to the faces of those present and gave them a “fluffy” afternoon.
Thank you very much for the lovely afternoon and your hospitality - we look forward to seeing you again!
Dog visit at the Sonnhalde nursing home | December 2024
We were recently able to give the residents of the Sonnhalde nursing home in Grüningen a special treat: the therapy dogs from the ABRI association came to visit and won their hearts. First there was a musical dog demonstration, where the dogs caused amazement and smiles. Afterwards there was plenty of time for cuddles, a short walk through the hallways, being together and just enjoying... Thank you for the lovely afternoon with you!

Christmas presents for the care teams | 2023
The care teams of Lighthouse, Kifa, Sonnweid, Regensdorf and Spitex Bäretswil were delighted to receive the Christmas present from the ABRI association.

In splendid summer weather and with the musical accompaniment of four hand organists, we visited the nursing home Sonnweid with our therapy dogs.
116 people came and were happy about the animal visit.
